Google is testing a new homepage design that leans further into AI Mode. The page now greets users with “What’s on your mind?” instead of displaying only the Google logo, as was seen previously. The new layout includes additional features.
Below the search bar are four rounded shortcut buttons: “Create images,” “Ask about files,” “Brainstorm,” and the long-standing “I’m feeling lucky.” The first three are new “I’m feeling lucky” was always there — and clicking any of the new buttons redirects users straight into AI Mode, except “I’m feeling lucky.”

This fits a pattern we’ve noticed building for a while now. Google appears increasingly focused on pushing users toward AI Mode. We’ve seen several changes recently that all point in the same direction, nudging users away from the traditional search experience and into the AI-powered one.
